Position Description
iSEC Partners is currently looking for an IT administrator to assist in the growth and ongoing maintenance of our infrastructure. This person would be responsible for administering network and server resources as well as providing support services to staff.
The IT administrator will be entrusted with primary responsibility for our enterprise-quality and highly secure production infrastructure, and will have an incredible opportunity to learn about network and software security from one of the most elite teams in the field. Although the primary responsibility of the IT administrator will be our production infrastructure, there will be opportunities to work with our consultants and participate in our cutting edge research and services.
The main responsibilities of the IT administrator include:
1) Administration and maintenance network resources and servers, including but not limited to the following:
a) File and Print Servers
b) Blackberry Enterprise Server
c) Microsoft Exchange 2007
d) Windows 2003 and Active Directory
e) Remote Desktop
f) OpenVPN
g) VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3
h) iSCSI SAN services
i) Linux and BSD-based systems
2) Help desk/technical support for employee laptops and business applications
3) Maintenance of hardware and software inventories; ensuring that the information is accurate, up to date, and licensing compliant
4) Development of appropriate documentation and files for IT troubleshooting, instruction and record keeping purposes
5) Coordination of hardware/software acquisition, integration and maintenance
6) Performing network security assessments; port and service scans, reviewing appropriate network segmentation, and minimizing host attack surface.
7) Interfacing with client security teams to ensure our compliance with client requirements
8) Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience.
Requires a demonstrated ability to work with many different people and projects simultaneously and to initiate projects and solve problems with minimal direction. Must be able to collaborate in an atmosphere of continuous technological change and uncertainty, and work effectively in a team environment.
This position also requires excellent oral and written communication skills and an outstanding customer service orientation.
Proficiency with the administration of a Windows based network (Active Directory/Exchange), and with business software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Experience with OpenVPN, Blackberry Enterprise, VMware ESX, and flavors of Linux/BSD recommended. Familiarity with network security tools such as Nmap and Nessus beneficial.
